Churchill Book Box
The Churchill Desk Book Box is a sterling silver interpretation of a leather bound book. The front cover features a miniature enamel portrait of Winston Churchill in his Siren Suit and pen in hand. The inside cover has a section from his speech made in 1908 entitled ‘The Pen: Liberator or Man and Nations’. On the spine is Churchill’s carved and applied coat of arms. Within the book is a two-tier burr wood lift-out collection of writing and desk instruments.
Altogether Winston Churchill published more words than Dickens and Walter Scott combined. In 1953, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. This Book Box was made as a tribute to his oratory and writing skills and includes inside the engraved Churchill quote: “History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it”. Limited edition of nine.
